The Beijing Normal University is located in Beijing, China. It’s aim is to recruit outstanding international students for graduate and postgraduates studies in China. This scholarship supports both graduate/postgraduate students and covers both major study and Chinese language preparatory.
This programme offers both full scholarships and partial scholarships, meaning that cover all some programmes covers major expenses, including tuition, accommodation, monthly stipend, and health insurance. While some only cover some of these.
Qualification for the Beijing Normal University Scholarship
The Beijing Normal University doesn’t offer preparatory language courses to the Masters and Doctorate applicants . They are only for graduate courses.
To be eligible for this scholarship, note that you should not be holding any other scholarships.
You must be a high school graduate and no more than 25 when applying for the undergraduate programs.
For people pursuing scholarship in masters programme you must not be more than 35 when applying.
If you’re a master’s degree holder, you need to be no more than 40 when applying for the doctoral programs.
All application should be done between November 2024 to April 2025.
Application Procedure
Log on to the “BNU International Student Application System”. You’ll have to fill and complete an online application for BNU program and pay the application fee.
If you’re applying as a new student, choose Type B; the Agency number for Beijing Normal University is 10027.
Application Documents needed for the programme
You’ll need an application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship. This can be in English or Chinese.
A Copy of Passport Home Page is also required
You’ll also need a Notarized highest diploma. This simply means an official proof of student status by in your current school
Academic transcripts (from the undergraduate program onwards). They can be in Chinese or English
Language preparatory certificates like like IELTS or TOFEL report.
Other Things you need to Know
Your applicant information must contain your full name, nationality, date of birth, previous universities you attended.
Also note that the time of your enrollment should be no earlier than September 2025
A study plan proposal is also required, more than 1000 words.
Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors in the same field is required.
A certified Non-criminal record report which must be issued usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.
