The University of Bologna is one of the oldest university in the world that still functions properly. The University of Bologna supports international students who want to apply for postgraduate programs with scholarship. The scholarship include free tuition (no school fees to pay) and €6,500 for living expenses during your stay in Italy. Eligiblity criteria for 2025 University of Bologna Scholarship

You must have a qualification from a school outside Italy (or be getting one soon) that allows you to apply for your chosen program. If you studied in an Italian school abroad, you can also apply.

You need to take one of these international tests before the application deadline:

GRE (Graduate Record Examination) – if you’re applying for a master’s program

These tests check your academic skills and can be taken online or at test centers in many countries. You’ll need to register on the official SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) or GRE websites.

The tests are in English, so make sure you’re prepared for that.

Your family’s income should fall between €16,000 and €35,000 (based on your financial documents or the ISEE indicator). If your family earns money outside Italy and you can’t provide an ISEE, you’ll need to show an equivalent income status.

You must be 30 years old or younger by the time the scholarship application closes.
