The sole purpose of the University of Alberta Scholarship is the funding/supporting of Graduate & Postdoctoral students that have been recognised in their field for their exceptionalism. The University of Alberta Scholarship supports only newly admitted international graduate students that were highly ranked by their Department. This implies that you have to be really good in other to be successful with this scholarship.

This programme is open to both domestic and foreign applicants who want to pursue their postgraduate degree at the University.

Requirements

You must have a GPA of 3.7 or higher

Must be a newly admitted student in one of the postgraduate programs

You must be full-time registered during the time of the scholarship. This implies that you must be available throughout the duration of the scholarship.

Note that this Scholarship will begin on September 1, 2025 and end August 31, 2026.

Benefits

One of the benefits is that you’ll receive a stipend of $17,500 if you’re doing a Masters programme and $21,000 if you are doing a Doctoral programme.
