It declared “The Lekki Headmaster” to be the authorised reading material for the 2025 UTME’s English usage.

JAMB has posted on X to notify you that Kabir Alabi Garba’s “The Lekki Headmaster” has been approved as the reading material for the Use of English. Information on the UTME/DE registration will be made public soon. Please keep checking back for updates,” the statement says.
Registration for the UTME will open on Monday, January 20, and close on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, according to JAMB. Candidates are to pay N3,500 for the JAMB form as part of the registration process. There are other costs such as N700 for registration, N1,500 for the exam, and N1,500 for the optional Mock-UTME.
